Our Story
Our journey began in 2019, when we started building an industrial IoT platform at Datamole. That platform has since scaled to more than 100,000 connected devices and powers large-scale solutions for global brands, including Lely and Agrifac. Working at this scale gave us firsthand experience with the realities of constrained devices operating in unpredictable environments around the world. It also immersed us deeply in the embedded community as we integrated diverse sensors, protocols, and device types into a single ecosystem.
Across many IoT projects, we consistently heard the same frustration from embedded engineers: troubleshooting devices in the field was far too complex, time-consuming, and manual. In 2024, we set out to validate the problem, understand its root causes, and explore how we could meaningfully improve the situation for teams operating large fleets of devices.
In early 2025, we released the first self-service version of Spotflow, introducing native log and core dump collection for Zephyr-based devices. Today, we’re evolving Spotflow into a fully AI-assisted embedded observability platform – a one-stop solution for automated monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and firmware release management, whether devices run bare-metal or on modern embedded operating systems.
